To do this efficiently you need a dispensing printer with a jig to present the label to the product in a convenient position.
Codeway designed the head on this Avery Dennison 64-05 printer for labelling potted plants as nurserymen pick them up and load them onto trolleys for delivery to garden centres.
The trolley allows this printer to go anywhere in the greenhouse. It has rechargeable batteries to power the printer and the wireless mobile computer running a NiceForm entry screen to get products details and prices from the database.
